Coffee Notes
1. My second day of coffee notes. Assuming I publish them. I’m using the same title. Maybe this will get to be a regular thing, but I’m not promising.
2. I arrived “early” at work. Actually, just earlier than anybody else. I thought the alarm code had changed and I didn’t know it anymore. I sat outside for about 2o minutes before learning that the code hadn’t changed at all.
3. I am quite pleased by the judge’s ruling on Prop. 8 yesterday. I like to think that California is a leader in social change, even if it isn’t really true. That Prop. 8 passed was quite disappointing.
4. Today was not a running day. My next running day is Saturday and I believe I’m to run three times for 5 minutes each. My weight this morning was 169.8.
5. For the most part I’m trying to keep my WoW activities off this blog. For that I have my Alterior Motive blog (which I update only slightly more often than this blog). But something kinda funny happened last night. I received an email that, at first glance, looked like an invitation to the Cataclysm beta. I would have been quite excited if it had been. Unfortunately, it was just a phishing attempt to get my WoW info. I’m amazed anybody really falls for those because the emails are usually poorly written and contain obvious mistakes. For example, “world of warcraft” was not capitalized properly, which was kind of a dead giveaway.
6. The gas gauge on my new Prius is ten distinct bars stacked in a semi-circle. I cry a little when a bar disappears. I’ve driven about 170 miles so far and a total of four bars have disappeared. I think that’s something like 40 mpg, which is pretty good. Certainly much better than my Camry.
7. I really like my new iPad case, but I wish, when I stand it up, the screen angled back just a bit more.
